I'm Hannah Telford (pen name Becky Tide) and I enjoy writing, particularly fiction, and am super into spirituality. I struggle with intermittent anxiety and depression and find that writing really takes the edge off things.
I truly believe that words have incredible power and so my writing is aimed at spreading good messages and morals in an engaging way. I feel very strongly about the difficulties that this world faces and I use my writing as a form of activism as it is the easiest form of communication for a socially, shy anxious introvert such as myself.
A project I am working on, which emphasises the activism, is my book: The Phantom Huntress.
The Phantom Huntress lives in a technologically advanced world, where good morals and standards of living have been subverted and there are no laws protecting women.
The laws of the land preserve the so called "God-given" rights of men allowing them to exert their dominance and use women for their entertainment, will and pleasure. In most households, women are treated like property and slaves and have been raised from birth to simply accept that this is the way life is and how things should be.
The Phantom Huntress; however, comes from a family who have often tried in vain to get the people to see a better, brighter way. All peaceful negotiations have failed and so she decides to take matters into her own hands the only other way she knows how. "Sometimes one must break the Lower Laws of the Land, in order to do that which is morally obligatory, to fulfil the Higher Moral Laws."

I also enjoy drawing. Nature is of particular importance to me because it is a constant reminder that all things in life is in a constant state of flux. Nothing and no one is ever exactly the same with each passing moment. We all go through metaphorical periods of birth, death and rebirth, in how we grow and progress and/or stagnate and remain the same.
My favourite three designs are the butterfly, autumn leaf and the snowflake.
Butterflies are a symbol of freedom. A caterpillar enters chrysalis, and goes through a period of transformation into a butterfly. Butterflies are free to fly, whereas the caterpillar is confined to the earth.
Autumn leaves are a symbol of change. The golden red hues are beautiful and slowly the leaves fall to the earth leaving a barren tree. There is a process that is unseen. As with the leaves decomposing and nourishing the soil, changes in our lives, particularly the ones that seem to be empty or negative, are actually nourishing us so we can begin again with renewed vigour.
Snowflakes are cold, but when seen under a microscope, they are very beautiful. Change and growth is often painful. It leaves us feeling cold and alone at times, but, if we come out the other side stronger, that pain is a wonderfully beautiful process that shaped and moulded us into who we are now.
